Biography: John grew up in New Jersey. He joined the US Navy and became an aviator and an electronics specialist logging 1500 flight hours over various oceans chasing Soviet submarines. He entered the defense industry as an electronics engineer and retired from Sanders Lockheed in Nashua, New Hampshire as a Program Manager.

Biography: Hugh and his wife Barbara discovered New Bern in 1996 and moved here with their three children in 1997. They purchased a partially restored Victorian home in one of New Bern's historical districts and are creating New Bern's first "Painted Lady."
