The 4th Annual Taste of Fairfield Harbour took place on Friday, May 17, where a hungry crowd of just under 100 Harbourites convened for an evening of sampling delicious favorite recipes, mingling with good friends, and enjoying the music of Tom and Dahlin.’ This is a yearly event to which folks bring their selected dishes to share. A distinctive panel of official judges – comprised of locals who volunteer for this desired chore – taste the dishes and select one first prize winner from each category: appetizers, entrees, side dishes, and desserts. The 2013 winners are:
Appetizer: Buffalo Chicken Dip by Kathy Fortenbaugh
Side Dish: Waldorf Fruit Salad by Edythe Colton
Main Dish: Lasagna by Annette Wagner
Dessert: Chocolate Lasagna by Emily Helling
Several dozen door prizes were generously donated by our corporate and business sponsors as well as by the Fairfield Harbour Property Owners Association. Penny Sullivan and her committee members – Pat Dumon, Emily Helling, Edythe Colton, Sue Smith, Sandy Schulties and Janet MacLaren – all worked hard for another smashingly successful Taste of Fairfield Harbour.
